Hello, I recently dug up my mechwarrior CDs and figured id have some fun playing. i installed mercenaries no problem and it works perfect. but vengeance is giving me all kinds of grief.

I can instal the game load it up watch the videos and all, i can even do the first mission no problem. but after the first mission the briefing for the next one the voice is all cracked and bugged and then if i click on mechlab or launch the game crashes. ive tried reinstalling ive tried no cd crack ive tried patching, but nothing seems to be working, i also tried running in various window modes but 95, and 98 dont work at all and 2000 gives me the same problem.
during instal i get one weird message though... it says direct x setup failed and that it requires direct x and might not work right without it.
im pretty sure ive got direct x 9c. im running a athlon 3500+ with 2gigs DDR ram and a geforce 7800GT. i can run all the newest games that take direct x.
anyways if anyone has any ideas please let me know. i really enjoy MW4 mercenaries but id like to blast my way through vengeance as well.
