ok got the mektek expansion working. however I can't connect to zone match's.

I keep getting the error messege

cannot join selected game. there may be a networking problems or the server may be gone.

I have a dsl connection through verizon online and have installed the 1.1 patch. and i have no idea why it isn't working.

any one have any ideas?

Did you try only in the Zone, or have you tried the in-game function and have no luck with that either? Using a Router? Firewall?

I was using the mutliplay function that came standard with the game, thats all i ever used for playing online.

to my knowledge I don't have a firewall or router up.

if it helps i'm running windows xp home.
my wife just added a 5 port networking hub to connect her pc to mine maybe that has something to do with it.

that help any?

retraction my wife set up the hub so her comp. could get internet off of our dsl connection.

Basically the solution was we had to log onto the webpage for our dsl router and open them up manually through that. the guys over at Banzai Institute for Advanced Armoured Warfare helped out a lot with it.
One of the guys has the same dsl router as i do so he pointed out the fact we were stairing at the solution to our problem and not seeing it.
Basically my wife and i are so computer illiterate that it's not funny anymore. I'd have to get her to get into the DSC forums as she did most of the work after booting me off of my own computer. but she got the job done so I'm not gonna complain to much.
This is what happens when the farmboy runs off to the military and gets trained on how to maintain, transport, etc the ordanance stockpiles and the colledge girl gets an english degree and they decide to get into the online version of a game because i love the game but don't have the time to play the tabletop or rp sides of the game.
My wife is hooked btw so buying anything that upgrades my computer that will make the Mw4 expierience better is a go if we have it forecasted in the monthly budget. yep life is looking up.
