Greetings. My name is Firefly and I am the commanding officer for a multi-game company known as Black Widow Company (battle tag ). BWC has been in operation for over six years, spread across several games - mostly noticeably Planetside, Battlefield 2, EVE Online, and Pirates of the Burning Sea. Recently, we have created a team for the MW4:Mercenaries mod "Inner Sphere Wars" and are giving it our full support. To that end, we are in open recruitment for our regiment, assigned to House Marik as the 4th Regulan Hussars Regiment.
BWC is a military-style gaming "guild" that was founded by several active-duty US military personnel. Many of our members currently serve, are civilian veterans, and a few are retired military (keeping us young pups straight). Several are members of foreign services. We have a comprehensive chain of command, with 400+ active members across several games. In Black Widow Company, you're not just a number and you're not just cannon fodder. You're part of a team, and your voice counts for something. Even as a new recruit, you're able to plan and run operations (as in, you're in command). Earning rank and decorations is voluntary, but competitively based so that all types of players can earn them. In BWC, the only mandatory requirements that we have for membership is Teamspeak, a recruitment post in the Recruiting area, and once you've been vetted and cleared for access you'll be required to read and sign the SOP.
Inner Sphere Wars has been in beta for a year or two, but BWC did not get into the game until recently. With this in mind, we are pressing ahead with recruitment and attempting to bring some support to the game.
