I bought a new sidewinder pro recently, to play mechwarrior, but we don't have a game port so it wouldn't work. I could of got a usb joystick adapter, but i read that the joystick still may not calibrate. So then I bought a cheap thrust master x. It is really a flight sim joystick but i hope it works! Does anyone else use this and can tell me a sort of review about it?

mw4 uses a lot of the same sorts of controls as a flight sim.

i remember the old sidewinder pro. took a fricken beating and kept working.

but i suspect you meant a sidewinder precision pro. which i personally avoided. always found something to dislike about the button layouts.

it's a pretty solid stick. i own something similar i'm using as my current active stick. lately, i haven't had much cause to use it though.

Thanks for the reply. I have used this joystick on mechwarrior 4 mercenaries for a few nights. I would throughly recommend it. You can't go wrong for £25.00
