Well, the big concept of having downloadable content on this month's disc was a bust. They re-scheduled it for September's issue.
Demos: Ghost Recon: Island Thunder Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter Soldier of Fortune 2: Double Helix or whatever the stupid title is.
GR: IT What a difference it is playing Ghost Recon on the PC vs. XBox. I thoroughly enjoyed it on the PC. Im not really a fan of the XBox version at all. The menu system is clunky as (bleep) and the graphics have been halved. Based on those differences ... I certaintly wouldn't want to play this game on the XBox at all.
MG:BH Interesting game although I dont think the graphics are up to par ... in fact they looked extremely "washed" out. It's an ammo burning game. I wasn't impressed with the AI either ... kinda lame-o and not very aware of its surroundings. Also, the concept of seamlessly having space combat and then fps portions is not all that. While piloting your ship ... you are "tractor beamed" into landing. During this process .. you cannot move or anything ... this is where the game is loading the interior graphics while you watch as you land (then you regain controls again). One-way space traffic. It's interesting ... I still might get it.
SOF2: DH ROFLMAO ... I played the full version of this game and not the demo. Reminds me of Agent Under Fire (ie. a cheese-ball effort to make a FPS game). LAME
Movies/Featurrettes: They have some lame-o "mokumentary" on "Midtown Madness 3" about some guy being a "hollywood" star of motion capture. Im sorry, but why did they waste all that MONEY on something that is highly un-funny. Which brings me to another question ... Why did I waste my time watching the entire thing?
There is a trailer for "Armed and Dangerous" which I thought was funny. While I was watching it ... I thought "Damn .... reminds me of Giants." Went online to find out its by the same people ... I'll be getting it.
