i rented it for xbxo.. and was really enjoying it, despite the awkward controlls compared to the last game, but after playeg about 2 hours one night and 3 the next... the game just seems to abruptly end. The last level i played was the sinking the carrier level.. is that really the end of the game?

I thought that of the first one. You rush out of the gas filled bunker only for the game to end. No medal pinned on chest, no slap on the shoulder. Zip

Yea -- that's it. I just rented it this past week and finished it. Storyline was entertaining, had some unique missions in there (riding an elephant with a mounted machine gun - hehe), but a lot of it was pretty much the same old story. Far too easy for most of it.
The guy flying the plane at the end mentions going to save your brother and then the game just ends. So it implies some sort of sequel.
What was most disappointing was the lack of XBox Live support. There was a multiplayer mode and sure you could create a game via 'tunneling' through GameSpy or XBConnect, but I'd rather the publisher have the smarts not to let their developers create halfass multiplayer support. There wasn't even DLC support. EA - blah.

The controls were horrible for me. Rather boring. I was disappointed. Guess that's all I can say about this game. LOL
