Apologies Erratic Cheese, I had written that not long after the 3rd chapter and that was a few years ago. A life changing event took me away from all this and then I stumbled onto that piece of story again a couple of weeks ago while going through my computer. I would like to at least finish that storyline even though I lost touch with Mechwarrior stuff but all depends on time and whether anyone is interested or not.

No need to appologise, I understand completely. I was just angry because I spend an hour trying to upgrade adobe and then all I got to read was 4 pages.

If anyone finds themselves needing to upgrade ADOBE READER I recommend NOT using ADOBE DOWNLOAD MANAGER. Simply find a torrent of the file. ADOBE DOWNLOAD MANAGER installs all sorts of stealth junk onto your PC.

Yeah the acrobat thing stinks. I've tried twice now to upgrade to the latest version and failed miserably. I've noticed that stealth crap before as well and it makes me cranky.

I been waiting a long time until you got the story going again, and it's to bad that it's only 4 pages, but a great start for a new perspective, the "town" side of the story!!

On a side note: you gave us environmentals in the opening--the heat and its affect on things. I would like to have had that kind of thing continue into the tent. Couple the heat with smells of dirty, nervous people etc...it will make for a more visceral experience.
