"Game Crash in Exodus Campaign"


          



This is my second attempt at posting this message (last one got lost after I hit the "post" button), so I'll be a bit more terse this time around. Long story short, I've recently installed the unofficial expansion, Carver V campaign updates and Exodus campaign, exactly in the order they are listed at the top of this page. I finished the modified Carver V campaign. Loved it!

Been enjoying the Exodus campaign immensely! But I'm stuck on mission 9: Operation Denial, with a repeatable game crash. It happens shortly after the partisans begin engaging the enemy, and even happens if I leave my own mechs completely idle. I've included the error details below. My install is a fresh install, and I've never attempted any other MC2 mods prior to those I'm using now (the ones linked at the top of this page)-- so there's no chance I'm conflicting with someone else's mod.

I'm not sure if this expansion/mod is still actively supported, but thought I'd post incase anyone has a recomendation to work around this crash. And to magic, many thanks for all the hard work you clearly put into these game improvements!

I seem to have gotten past the issue (though hopefully I'm not speaking too soon). I ended up restarting the mission from the beginning (I had previously been restarting from a mission quick save, right before the partisans began moving in).

One notable difference about my second attempt, which doesn't seem like it's going to crash on me, is that the partisans captured the turret control this time around.

In the first attempt, once all the enemies were eliminated, the partisans began shooting up turrets, and never bothered to capture the turret control. It was always during this moment of apparent AI confusion that the crash would happen (it happened before the force of mechs showed up).

Anyhow, it seems that I'm past the crash... hopefully I won't encounter any others before I get through the mission!
