"Compatibility of Expansion and Carver V Campaign"

I recently got this expansion from Mech Labs:

http://mechcommander.strategyplanet.gamespy.com/pafiledb/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=172

It doesn't work with Carver V, so I was thinking of using Magic's items for Carver V. Is this a good idea? Or is there some other, safer way (that doesn't involve reprogramming, cause I don't know how)?

You keep watch for only giants, and you'll be eaten by ants.

Magic's is the easiest to install. Wolfmans is more comprehensive but there's a little bit of copying and renaming of files if you want it to work with the Carver5 campaign.

That is not entirely correct.

Magic's expansion exchanges hundreds of files automatically because it is not compatible to the original MC2; wolfman-x exchanges two files automatically since latest revisions and is beside that fully compatible to the original MC2.

Magic's works with carver5 missions better. I had to copy and paste 24 files to get your new stuff in the original campaign last time I downloaded it. Even after I did that, it gave me everything right from the start and doesn't space things out like magic's did. I like the content better of your mod, but I like the execution better of magics.

I do think magics is easier to install, as it doesn't require all the additional downloads yours does nowadays as well.

I guess you focus on gaming through CARVER V with all the new inventory: in this case you are right because I do not change existing campaigns and was never interested in creating an expansion around CARVER V. Got your point
