Anyone have thoughts to make a DSC clan for play on Xbox live?

From what I've read, we'd have to all agree on one House though.

I'd be up for it, and I've vote in this mannner for houses:

1. Kurita
2. Liao
3. Steiner
4. Marik
5. Davion

I think it would be some sort of tiny miracle to get everyone to agree on one House, but for what it's worth, I'm looking to go Kurita.

I was going to bring this up too.

I'd vote for Davion myself, but I would be willing to join Steiner or Kurita. Not Marik or Liao.

Only reason I put Liao and Marik up there was my love of the underdog.

Looks like when we get the game tommorow (seems my stores won't let me get it until then either), we could form up Clan PUB, and sign up for the DCMS. I just watched "The Last Samuri" while sick this weekend, so I'm all up on my Bushido.

I'm for Kurita as my clan because of the honor on the battlefeild. If you guys don't join then may we one day clash swords.

Gimme some time to get the dang thing hooked up, figure out this "live" bit and get the game and I'll be there with my kendogi and daisho on. Of course, I'm gonna get some really weird looks from the wife then...

Well, I finally got the game this afternoon. I was going to blow a gasket if they didn't have it, so they are lucky they did

Anyways, I messed around with the clan functions, and set up "DropShipCommand" as a Clan within House Kurita. Logos are REAL limited (wierd choices if you ask me). I need to "recruit" people by the Gamertag to get them on the roster. There's some sort of rank system, but I won't be sure how it works until I get some people on the roster.

There is space for "description" and "motto" (LOL), so if anyone feels bold enough, feel free to fire off some ideas.

I'll join when I get the live hook up. Having a DSC clan is enough to push me into it. Although I have to add I bought it last night and its still in the plastic. I'm a lil afraid to see what they've done with it/ to it.

Multiplayer should be ok to you if you liked the first one. The storyline in single player will likely give you nightmares though.

A certain son took my Xbox Live! headset after I told him not to and managed to lose it....problem is the hole is proprietary so you HAVE to get one specifically made for the service. I have to stop at the store tommorrow and pick it up. Evidently room hosts don't like people without the teamspeak ability as i get booted %90 of the games I join in the lobby.

I joined Davion but I'm down for whatever. I rather join an underdog/losing house as it presents a challenge but again, whatever floats yer boats.

So who's the crack supply pilot among us?

I've also read that cell phone headsets will work.

Only problem there is though, is that the headsets designed for Live usage support Voice activation. I tried just using my cellphone headset, and the mic was always open. It generates a lot of background noise and tends to tick people off.

I bought the "MadCatz" replacement one from Best Buy for like $10. I still use it, but I don't really like it. My ear really gets sore after wearing it for any length of time.

Weeknights I sometimes play around 7pm EST. Weekends I sometimes play around 8am EST, and various other times depending on what's going on.

I've currently got my gamertag tied to my MSN messenger... so I actually get alerts when anyone on my friends list goes to the dashboard or any Live game.

Like a couple days ago when Bangy was playing MA2 and Halo2 around 11am EST while I was stuck at work.

Only time I've seen folks on though, I was in the middle of a game of NwN with some other buddies on the computer.

I was on last night for a couple hours, got like 4 games in. Turns out I'm good with the VTOL, Battle Armour, and Tank. Not so good with the Mechs for some reason.

TIPS OF THE DAY:

If you've got special armour (reactive or reflective) you can activate the armour to prevent BA from attaching you yer back. It also detatches any currently attached.

CTF tactic... Post a BA by the flag, should any mech grab it, if the BA attaches to the Mech, the Mech automatically drops the flag. The mech must then concentrate on ditching the BA, allowing other defenders to shoot the invading little bugger.

Tank Tactic... level 3 shots from that main gun will knock down pretty much EVERY mech each shot. Handy for knocking down that Atlas/Mad Cat guarding the flag.

Dude, those are the 3 most useful tips I've heard so far. Great stuff to know.

as fun as the game is it really sucks playing with people who have no idea of how play as a team, thats why I want to hook up with other mech heads and get some practice in. I lost count of how many teammates I've seen grab the VTOL and use it for offensive combat and its driving me absolutely nuts. I get no joy out of DM anymore simply because there are opponents so adept at it that I end up as a walking power-up for other players (besides, this puppy was built for team-play ).

Anyhow, I'll just keep trying. I'm in the off-season for my work so I'm home most of the day drinking coffee, playing EQ2 and Xbox.....wheeeeeee

Another tip, if you are in BA, hitch onto a friendly 'Mech for a ride. (1) it prevents enemy BAs from jacking and (2) you are somewhat shielded from getting one-shot killed by level 3 weapons.

And good point about the VTOL, Bangy. First thing any team should do is regroup at spawn, wait for the VTOL to drop everything so people have at least one level 3 weapon, then attack as a group. VTOL comes in behind with armor.

Well, that didn't go all that well. Managed 2 games before my computer's HDD died (severely upsetting my wife), and my daughter who's being potty trained outright refused to pee... much tears were had. Rather stressful evening.

I enjoyed the couple games we managed to get in, hopefully we can do it again sometime soon, and nothing will break while I'm trying to have fun.

sorry I missed the action last night however short. Had some PC issues of my own that I was dealing with.

I'll jump this evening around 9-ish (EST) if I don't doze off in my PC chair first.

I'm glad to see DSC talk seriously about putting together a clan. The old Terminal Shift team has been playing regularly since MA2 launched, we are considering making it official, though sadly we can no longer play our Beloved Ghost Bears, We have actually considered House Liao, since no ones really playing them, and a couple of us play that faction in MW:AOD, but its still up in the air.

If anyone ever wants to duke it out or wants a teammate look me up my live tag is Stormdragon, I'm that smack talker in the Summoner.

Send me an invite crowfoot too, please. Although, Kurita looks like they're in pretty rough shape...
